It’s ten years since Kirsty MacColl was killed by a speedboat while swimming on holiday in Mexico. For me it’s one of those JFK things, I remember exactly were I was, or at least the route I was driving, when I heard the news of her death on the car radio. Here is Kirsty singing

Stinging Nettle Seeds For Sale!

With The Bottle Inn at Marshwood closed it looks like there will be no World Stinging Nettle Eating Championship this year. Hunting around on Amazon I was surprised to find someone selling “Stinging Nettle: 200 Seeds (Fresh & Untreated)“! Around here stinging nettles are considered to be weeds and grow abundantly without cultivation.
