Remember Mr Blobby? He was the yellow spotted pink blob famous for his cry of “”Blobby, blobby, blobby who featured on Noel Edmonds’ BBC1 Saturday night variety television show Noel’s House Party.
The success of the character gave rise to tie ups with visitor attractions. One of those was down here in the West Country where Blobbyland was created at the Cricket St Thomas Wildlife Park near Chard in South Somerset.
The television show came to an end and Mr Blobby’s fame waned. The Wildlife Park at Cricket St Thomas came to an end too, it closed and the manor house was sold and converted to a Warner Leisure Hotel.
So what became of Mr Blobby’s home at Cricket St Thomas? Well someone who was curious went exploring with a video camera and discovered the abandoned Blobbyland in a derelict state. They posted what they recorded to YouTube, see what they found below.
